30st Mary Axe is a futuristic eco-sustainable 180-meter-high building designed by Norman Foster, which has become one of the most iconic buildings in the British capital. The covering has a spiral shape emphasized by the use of shaded glass- alternating bands of coloured glass in light and dark grey tones. The distinctive diamond -and -triangle-shaped modular weave of the outer structure has created space free from columns and full glass facades and has contributed in significantly reducing the need for artificial lighting.

The large skylight illuminates the island, enhancing the lively blue of the doors. The work top, with hob and steel sink, provides a handy space for storing utensils.

The low base units between the columns provide a support surface and seat, where the panorama can be admired from an unusual point of view.
