With the Louvre Pyramid, Leoh Ming Pei was able to reconcile both old and new, thus designing an architectural element that interacts with and enhances the Napoleonic building. This glass and metal pyramid serves as the museum’s atrium, which is very bright thanks to the enormous glass surface and the white silicon coated glass (perfectly transparent). In the evening, the illuminated pyramid becomes tinged with warm golden lights, making this place even more precious.
